Dr. Alden has been named a Top Doc by Mpls St. Paul Magazine for more than 10 consecutive years. He has practiced vascular surgery in the Twin Cities since 1990. He practiced at Park Nicollet Clinic and in private practice as a founding partner of Surgical Specialists of Minnseota at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He was instrumental in the creation of Abbott Northwestern's Vascular Center and is the medical director of the Wound Clinic and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy program. Dr. Alden is a diplomate and fellow of the American Board of Surgery and holds the Certificate of Special Added Qualifications in Vascular Surgery. He is credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).
Dr. Alden's special interests include carotid surgery, aortic aneurysm, diabetes-related vascular problems and venuous disease.
