This group is for weight loss surgery patients who w...ould like support, structure and encouragement in their exercise program. Led by an exercise specialist, participants can use exercise equipment (walking track, treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, rowing machines, elliptical trainers) and strength training equipment.
The bariatric exercise program is open to patients who have had weight loss surgery at Abbott Northwestern, United or Unity hospital and who are current with their bariatric follow-up appointments.

Led by weight loss surgery patients who have had spe...cial training or healthcare professionals, Images Support Groups provide a forum to explore issues connected with our surgery and weight loss. We support one another in our new lifestyle choices and share the challenges and joys that accompany this journey. Research has demonstrated that patients who regularly attend support groups tend to achieve greater weight loss.
Spouses, partners and other adult support persons are welcome to attend. No pre-registration required.
Class frequency:
Cambridge - 4th Tuesday of month (4th Thursday of month starting March 2012)
Elk River - 3rd Monday of month
Fridley morning group - 3rd Friday of month
Fridley evening group - 1st Thursday of month
New Ulm - 3rd Monday of month (No meeting February 2012. Re-grouping in March 2012 and will be led by a registered dietitian.)
