This group is for weight loss surgery pati...ents who would like support, structure and encouragement in their exercise program. Led by an exercise specialist, participants can use exercise equipment (walking track, treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, rowing machines, elliptical trainers) and strength training equipment.
The bariatric exercise program is open to patients who have had weight loss surgery at Abbott Northwestern, United or Unity hospital and who are current with their bariatric follow-up appointments.

We support one another in our new lifestyle choices and share the challenges and joys that accompany this journey. Research has demonstrated that patients who regularly attend support groups tend to achieve greater weight loss.
