Metropolitan Internists, P.A. is a practice dedicated t...o helping patients meet their medical needs throughout their adult years. As internists, we provide care for routine examinations, when illness develops or when medical emergencies arise. The physicians are Board Certified in Internal Medicine. This means that in addition to medical school training, each physician has spent several years in an internal medicine residency program and has successfully passed a qualifying examination. The specialities of internal medicine include cardiology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, rheumatology, oncology, nephrology, hematology, endocrinology, neurology, and pulmonary disease. Should a problem arise outside of our scope of care, we will be happy to make referrals and work closely with other specialists. All members of our group desire to know each patient well and to be available when needed. Our chief concern is that you receive the best possible care. Should one doctor be on vacation, away on an emergency or otherwise unavailable, please trust that a colleague will have access to your medical records. Although much of our effort is devoted to healing, we would gladly expend our energies in preventing those illnesses which are avoidable. Preventive medicine is the best medicine. The importance of a thorough initial exam followed by routine checkups cannot be overemphasized.
